My husband, upon retiring from Key State Bank, Owosso, Michigan, was had his Life Insurance reduced from $50,000 to $2,000. That was in 1988. Several years later Key State was sold to Chemican Bank. Now he is in end stage cancer and needs to know if the policy is still open, and if not, why not. And why is it so hard to find a SAFECO site that lists Life Insurance? Everything I find is Auto or Home related.. |

Totally dishonest in handling legitimate claim from the ruins of Hurricane Ike. Stay away from dealing with them if you want to be rest-assured that you are covered for an emergency situation such as damage you receive from such. (Thought that was why I have been paying for insurance.) They do take your money quite readily however.
Safeco has caused a nightmare for this senior widow. (More vunerable perhaps.). |

My only concern with our Safeco home coverage was the wind/hail deductible of 1% the value of the home, which they have done away with in the last year. They were well below the estimates we received from other companies (most notably State Farm). Yet, despite the reasonable cost, when our home flooded due to a refrigerator malfunction, their service was excellent and they took great care of us.. |
